The more I think about it, the more I am convinced that most digital entrepreneurs spend precious time fighting with their businesses. It’s certainly a hallmark of my entrepreneurial journey.
In Buddhism, mindful living -living in the present moment- is a goal, a practice that we engage in. It’s a practice because, well…it takes practice… and it’s something that we actively engage in.
I have to work at it to stay focused in the present.
Dr. Wayne Dyer once said,
“You can be-now-here or be-nowhere.”
In business we often spend time looking back, learning from our email campaigns, our open rates, and our Google Analytics stats. We also spend a lot if time thinking about the future; planning our next move, looking to the year ahead, setting goals or commitments.
But we don’t spend nearly enough time in the present, just focusing on the task at hand. We often don’t just be with our business. I’m convinced that if we did, we’d love our business life more.
