There’s been a increasingly important theme in my life around humanitarian efforts. I’ve been moved by the Instagram accounts of @JoshuaCoombes, @TheKindCut, and @RealHumanist and their ongoing work giving back to those who need it the most. I’m not a barber, but I am a writer and I’m actively searching for ways to match my skills to a need in my local community.
Yesterday I stumbled across Neighborhood of Good, an initiative set up by State Farm Insurance (they insure my motorcycle) that matches volunteers with opportunities in their local communities. My girlfriend is a reading teacher and she wants to devote her time outside to school for the cause of adult literacy teaching adults to read. These organizations and individuals are helping me define how best to use my own talents for the good of others and impacting my local community.
This much I know:
Whatever our path includes, only we can define, create, and walk it.
What’s your path?
Whether it’s helping others to get paid to write, pursue a new creative avenue, start a business, or making changes that creates a better life, my path is currently to help them reach their goal by offering books, courses, and coaching that meet these needs.
How will you impact your community? If you’re a write like me, I invited you to explore this area along with me.
Who I Am
I work from my home, in cafes, or anywhere in the world developing scalable digital businesses, writing books, and mentoring others.
I’ve written about how to create an extraordinary life through defining your dreams, create new financial opportunities, and how to cultivate a lifestyle based on on fulfillment of your human potential and service to others.
