I’m writing this from my AirBnB hotel room in very cold, yet still very beautiful, Paris. In fact, I’ve been on the road for about 10 days now, having left San Francisco on January 15 when I flew to London.
I’ve been a fan of traveling in winter for a few years now, and despite the cold, England was gorgeous in January and so is France. It all depends on what you’re looking for. 🙂
I’m here in Paris for just three days before riding the Eurostar speed train back to London for my final two days before flying home.
I’ve Been Working from Anywhere
While I’ve been traveling I’ve also been working. It’s the kind of digital nomad lifestyle I imagined a few years ago and have begun to practice. I don’t live totally on the road – I don’t think I would like that- but I do travel quite a bit and I’ve gotten to the point where work doesn’t get in the way.
I learned a while ago that it’s not that hard to create a life that you love if you really want to. All it takes is the willingness to let go of what tethers you to the status quo and the act of opening yourself to a new way of being in the world.
While traveling, I’ve been:
- Seeing and doing lots of cool things – just look at my Instagram for proof
- Working on a consulting assignment – trading files on Dropbox with my client in California
- Polishing a new resource on creating a profitable subscription and living how you want
As I’ve been flying around the world, and riding my motorcycle across the US, this past year, I decided to start working on a cool email course that would help others achieve the same kind of freedom I enjoy.
But now it’s dinner time here in France and I’m getting hungry for something delicious!
